our elk are range fed on our farm 14 km northeast of Airdrie,
Alberta. We don’t use any antibiotics or hormones of
any kind. We transport our elk directly to a government inspected
processing plant ourselves. The animals are not overcrowded
or stressed and are humanely treated during the entire process
thus ensuring a quality meat product. When the animals are
processed they are inspected twice. Once, visually, and then
a sample of the brain stem is sent in for laboratory testing
to ensure that the animal was healthy.
